The Tennessee Association of Librarians Conference 2020 will be held virtually September 26, 2020. We need to update you on some important changes to our conference structure and focus. Due to 2020 bringing a pandemic but also much needed awareness of systemic racism in our country and the cry for change, we are adjusting our plans to answer the call. So we invite you to participate, but we will be making some changes and ask for your consideration of these in order to remain part of our event.

First, we will be going virtual for our annual conference. We feel that this is in the best interest and safety of all attendees and presenters.

Second, with our theme being “Turn the Page,” our focus is three-fold:

  1. educate ourselves and explore anti-racist practices not only in our schools but as a professional organization
  2. what we as school librarians can do to rise to meet the needs of students during COVID-19 distance learning
  3. advocate for school libraries in our schools, communities, and state

We will be examining vendor products, practices and services to align with our anti-racist/ anti-discrimination policy.

Finally, thank you for your patience as we switch gears to a virtual conference. We will send information to you about the options we have available for exhibiting at TASLVirtual20 and supporting TASL through sponsorships within the next week.

Please let us know if you have any questions! We look forward to working with you.

If you would like to be contacted when we open registration for Vendors/Exhibitors for the 2020 Conference, please fill out this brief form.  Thank you!

Corporate Membership

Don’t forget! TASL offers a corporate membership for a $100.00 annual fee. One of the advantages of this membership is access to our email distribution lists.  Won't you consider corporate membership today? Membership runs January - December each year.
